Yarmouth Police Receive Complaints About Door-To-Door Solicitors

Yarmouth Police say they have received recent complaints from residents who say they are being bothered by door-to-door solicitors.

Police say the Town of Yarmouth requires all door-to-door sales associates to have a sales permit and they must display an ID badge while doing business.

In addition, door-to-door sales can only be conducted between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and violations carry a 300-dollar fine.

The rules apply to all individuals engaged in businesses that include solar sales, tree cutting services and landscaping services.
