Cape Cod Under Red Flag Warning Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Cape Cod and the rest of Massachusetts from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 this evening.

Forecasters say the low humidity, dry conditions and 30-mile-per-hour winds gusts create conditions that will quickly spread fires.

State officials also announced yesterday that most, but not all of the state is in some form of a drought.

The Cape and Islands not part of the drought declaration.
