Sandwich Among 19 Massachusetts Locations To Receive Digital Equity Funding

Sandwich is among 19 locations that will receive a share of one-point-33-million-dollars in state funding for digital equity programs.

The funds from the Massachusetts Broadband will help to expand access to internet-connected devices, hire digital experts, engage with residents and undertake other activities to tackle the digital divide.

Sandwich will receive nearly 65-thousand-dollars to implement digital literacy classes at the Center for Active Living and the public library.

The town will purchase laptops, Chromebooks and desktop computers to assist with walk-in technical needs.
