State Officials Say All You Need Is "A Shot In The Arm"

State officials say there is still time to get an updated flu and/ or COVID shot.

The State Health Department has released new data which suggests that the flu shot is still more popular than the COVID vaccine is.

According to the latest state data, just over 21 percent of Barnstable County residents have their flu shot.

By comparisson, Plymouth County has 17 point 8 percent vaccinated against the flu. Nantucket 14 percent. Dukes County just over 18 percent.

Middlesex County has the most vaccinated with just over 24 percent.

As for COVID vaccines, 15 percent of the Barnstable County residents have their COVID shot. Almost 9 percent in Plymouth County.

That's not all that unusual - statewide more people have their flu shot then their COVID vaccine.
