New England Aquarium Prepping Sea Turtle Hospital As Waters Cool

Water temperatures in Cape Cod Bay are starting to cool and the New England Aquarium's Sea Turtle Hospital is getting ready for patients.

Right now, bay water temperatures are just over 59-degrees but once they drop to the 55 and 50-degree range, sea turtles become weak and unable to swim.

As the waters grow colder volunteers with the Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary will be combing the beaches to find cold-stunned turtles that need rehabilitation.
