Dennis Voters Greenlight Money For Wastewater Upgrades

The Town of Dennis is getting the wastewater upgrades it desperately needs.

Voters in Tuesday's special town election approved the plan to borrow nearly a quarter-billion-dollars to build a new treatment plant and sewer collection systems for the Route 28 business district and communities near the Bass River and Route 134.

Out of the more than 13-hundred ballots cast, only 212 were no votes.

Approving the projects now is saving taxpayers 100-million-bucks thanks to some financing terms from the state.
