A Flushing, New York woman has been extradited to Barnstable County on charges that she scammed a Cape Cod woman out of 46-thousand-dollars.
Twenty-four-year-old Yuxin Fu allegedly posed as a member of the Drug Enforcement Administration and told the victim their name was linked to an investigation in Texas, and she had to transfer her money to a safe government account to protect it from being seized.
A warrant was issued for Fu in June of 2023, but she fled to China.
Fu was arrested in late September of this year as she tried to re-enter the U.S. at JFK International Airport
At the request of the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office, Fu was held on $100,000 bail.
