Mashpee voters will have one less article on their plate for the October 21st town meeting.
The Select Board has removed from the meeting warrant an article related to the possible purchase of Gooseberry Island.
The panel says it'll return to the proposal once an appraisal is ordered, and the town has some time to sock away some extra cash.
The property has been the subject of public hearings and legal wranglings for about a decade as a developer has been consistently getting shot down by the zoning board for improvements he wants to make.
The U.S. Supreme Court this year declined to hear a case concerning the impasse.
