Red Sox Beat Yankees To Move Closer To Playoffs

The Yankees topped the Red Sox 5-2 to win their four-game series at Yankee Stadium.

Carlos Rodon earned the victory after striking out five and allowing two runs over five and a third innings.

Tommy Kahnle secured his first save of the season after recording the final two outs of the game.

Gleyber Torres and Aaron Judge each went deep in the bottom of the third.

New York is now 87-and-63. Kutter Crawford was saddled with the loss after allowing four runs on six hits over four and a third innings pitched.

Tyler O'Neill slugged his 31st home run of the year with a two-run shot.

Boston is now 75-and-75.
