Healey Names Retired NJ Lieutenant Colonel To Lead State Police

Governor Maura Healey has reached outside the department for a new leader of the Massachusetts State Police.

Healey has named former New Jersey State Police lieutenant colonel Geoffrey Noble to be State Police colonel.

Healey says Noble has dedicated his career to public service and delivered results at the highest levels of the New Jersey State Police.

Noble says the appointment is a true honor, and plans to be a leader who is accessible, transparent and committed to the highest standards of integrity.

Noble is a native of Rhode Island, but was raised on The Cape.

At one point he was a Nanctucket Police Officer.
