Stage Harbor Dredging Begins This Week In Chatham

Beginning Thursday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will begin dredging the entrance channel to Stage Harbor in Chatham.

The Murden will be dredging for around two weeks and the Town of Chatham says mariners should use caution when navigating around the dredge.

Officials say navigational buoys may be temporarily relocated during the operation.

The dredged material will be taken to the designated disposal site, offshore of Harding's Beach.
