Coastal Massachusetts and Rhode Island could possibly feel some minor impact from Ernesto in a few days.

The track will keep it hundreds of miles out to sea, however, as it passes 5-to-10 foot waves can be expected at many beaches into the weekend, especially on the outer Cape and the Islands.
Swells just offshore could reach 10-to-20 feet.
