Sandwich Residents, Businesses Will Save On Flood Insurance

Sandwich residents and business owners will save 20-percent on flood insurance premiums under a new National Flood Insurance Program that begins October 1.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency's Community Rating System is expected to result in 82-thousand-dollars in community-wide savings each year.

Town Planner Leanne Drake says participation in the CRS program not only addresses rising sea levels and more frequent storms, but it also enhances the community's resilience.
