Anticipation is rising among Cape residents for the start of the Barnstable County Fair.
The popular annual event opens Monday the 22nd and runs through Sunday the 28th.
Crews are hard at work putting up rides and tents, making sure everything is in working order and completing safety checks.
In addition to the rides, big musical performances happen every night except for Wednesday, when the world's largest Demolition Derby is featured at the main arena.
The event is billed as the Cape's marquee summer event.
