Florida Gov Takes Jabs At Vineyard During Convention Speach

Martha's Vineyard got a mention at night two of the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was giving a speech on immigration while taking jabs at the left, saying "they support open borders allowing millions of illegal aliens to pour into our country and burden our communities, but just don't send any to Martha's Vineyard, then they get really upset."

DeSantis was talking about when he sent two unannounced charter planes to the Vineyard with about 50 Venezuelan migrants on board in 2022, citing Massachusetts' designation as a sanctuary state.
