Heat Wave Continues- Cooling Centers Open In Plymouth

The Plymouth Fire Department says cooling centers will be open for the next few days as another round of extreme heat moves into the area.

There is a heat advisory in effect today from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday an extreme heat watch will be in effect.

Fire officials say in Massachusetts, a heat wave is usually defined as three or more consecutive days of temperatures above 90 degrees.

Temperatures in the Plymouth area are expected to be in the 90's through Wednesday with humidity levels above 50 percent.
