Cyanobacteria Advisory Issued For Upper Mill Pond And Lower Mill Pond

A Cyanobacteria Advisory has been issued for Upper Mill Pond and Lower Mill Pond.

The advisory covers the Town of Brewster Kayak Launch Site on Run Hill Road, the Lower Mill Pond Beach Association Kayak Launch Site on Mill Pond Drive and the Stony Brook Grist Mill Site on Stony Brook Road.

The Health Department and Brewster Ponds Coalition say visible cyanobacterial mats have been seen at those locations.

People and pets should avoid contact with the water in those areas until test results improve.
