The Eastham Police Department has purchased a drone with funding from an Emergency Management Grant.
Police say the Unmanned Aircraft System will assist the department in many ways, including accident reconstruction, search and rescue operations, emergency management, event planning and more.
Two of officers have received their FAA remote pilot licenses and a third officer will be certified in the near future.
