Chatham Police To Crack DownA t Beaches

Chatham Police are increasing enforcement at town beaches and landings.

Police say there has been a rise in illegal and unauthorized beach activity, so it has increased its directed patrols.

Police will be looking for non-permitted fires, illegal private fireworks, underage drinking and alcohol possession, littering and noise violations.

Enforcement may be in the form of fines, tickets, a criminal summons or arrest.
