The Board of Regional Commissioners urges Senator Elizabeth Warren to oppose funding for a proposed machine gun range on the Upper Cape Water Supply Reserve.
They want to make sure a funding extension request is not included in the Senate's 2025 National Defense Authorization Act.
The Board's action stems from the ongoing effort to protect Cape Cod's Sole Source Aquifer which provides drinking water to more than 210-thousand year-round residents.
The Senator has not responded.
