A former Cape Cod Hospital cardiologist is set to receive a big chunk of change for blowing the whistle on his ex-employer.
Richard Zelman complained to the Feds about the hospital submitting claims for hundreds of heart procedures completed without meeting Medicare requirements.
Following an investigation, CCH has agreed to pay more than 24-million-dollars under the False Claims Act.
Almost four-point-four-million of that money will go to Zelman as a reward for coming forward.
