The Brewster Board of Health is reminding pet owners that dogs, horses and other pets are prohibited from public ponds, landings, beaches and tidal flats from now through September 15th.
The ban also includes public parking areas, but transferring an animal on a leash from a vehicle to a watercraft is allowed at landings.
Officials say the Brewster Dog Park is open seven days a week from dawn until dusk.
Anyone violating the policy may be subject to a fine.
