Law enforcement agencies and communities across the Cape are mourning the loss Massachusetts State Police Trooper Steven Culver and his death is hitting very close to home for one area Police Chief.
On social media, the Brewster Police Department says it is saddened by Trooper Culver's sudden passing, adding that he was the cousin of Police Chief Health Eldredge.
The Department sends sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Trooper Culver who died after an unexpected medical event while off duty.
Funeral plans have not been announced.
