State Approves More Beds For Cape Cod Hospital

The Massachusetts Public Health Council has approved an expansion of beds for Cape Cod Hospital.

The move is necessary to deal with the demand for patients' beds.

Officials say 32 beds have been approved.

Nurses say that the move will also allow for better patient safety.

The move is in addition to the hospital's plan for a 100-bed tower, complete with cancer center and cardiac facilities.

It is expected to be completed in 2025.
