Excess land on Joint Base Cape Cod may soon morph into a village-style, mixed-use development.
MassDevelopment is starting to explore the possible land conversion, which would include separate military and civilian housing and retail.
Officials say they want to help ease some of the local housing woes while continuing to support JBCC and respecting its history.
The public is being invited to share ideas and opinions on the proposal at jointbasecc.com.
