More than 700 new great white sharks have been cataloged in Cape and Islands waters over the past ten years.

Researchers with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy say nearly one hundred great whites were tagged in the most recent count.

AWSC Senior Scientist Megan Winton says her agency, plus fishermen, boaters, and divers have contributed by providing images or video of sharks they have encountered.

Sharks migrate thousands of miles along the east coast of the US and Canada over a year. The updates and details are available at Atlantic White Shark dot org.
