Dennis' Planning Board is meeting next Monday to consider a plan to transform a former skilled nursing home for housing.
The Housing Assistance Corporation seeks to use the former South Dennis Healthcare site, to consolidate three family shelters in Barnstable, Bourne, and Falmouth.
Up to 79 families would live in Dennis, while the other shelters could move to year-round housing. The question before planners is whether such a shelter is exempt from specific zoning restrictions.
