An accident late Saturday evening in Nantucket has left one person dead.
Police were dispatched to Bartlett Road at around 10:30 pm.
They found a van had struck a berm at the end of the road.
The lone occupant, listed only as a 17-year-old was declared dead at the scene.
While their name was not released, Nantucket Public Schools confirmed the individual was a student at the high school.
The cause of the accident is not known, but police indicate speed have been a factor.
