Former Oak Bluffs Fire Chief Arraigned

The former fire chief of Oak Bluffs pleaded not guilty on Monday to a charge of recording a person during an intimate encounter without their permission.

John Rose appeared in Edgartown District Court to answer to the charge and was freed on ten-thousand-dollars bail.

Rose must wear a GPS monitor as part of the terms of his release.

Rose was under investigation from a similar case in December, when the alleged victim learned Rose allegedly recorded her during an encounter they had in 2020 without her knowledge or consent.

Rose's pretrial hearing is scheduled for March 25th.
