A citizens group is hosting a summit to discuss and consider offshore wind development.
Save Greater Dowses Beach will hold the "Close to the Wind" Summit on January 27th at the Hyport Conference Center.
The event will include speakers to discuss the construction, transmission, and effects of the growing industry.
The focus will be on ways to develop the concept while minimizing damage and risk. Susanne Conley, who chairs the steering committee, says the idea is to give a voice to residents' concerns.
