Gov: Laser Focused On Sagamore Bridge Funding

One-point-six-billion-dollars in federal funding is being sought to replace the nearly 90-year-old Sagamore Bridge over the Cape Cod Canal.

The state Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers have filed a joint application with the Large Bridge Project Program.

The state has already put in more than 700 million dollars toward the project as well.

Governor Maura Healey said her administration is "laser focused" on federal funding to replace both Cape Cod bridges.
