Dukes County Commissioners voted this week to call for a special meeting of the Steamship Authority's governing board, regarding an incident with one of their boats.
The M/V Sankaty, a freight vessel, broke free from its berth in Woods Hole on July 27th, and the unmanned craft struck a dock.
No injuries or damage was reported, but the Sankaty's crew was warned the vessel was not properly moored, and this had not been the first time.
Commissioners stated they had not been provided with details of the SSA's internal investigation.
The SSA board meets next Tuesday in Falmouth.
