A judge has sentenced a Mashpee man to at least 19 years in prison for the murder of his father.
Eli Perry was convicted of manslaughter, aggravated assault, and related charges in the death of Raymond Perry at his home in 2017, then with the help of his former girlfriend, hid the body and tried to alter the crime scene.
In handing down his decision, Superior Court Judge Mark Gildea notes he could not sentence the now 43-year-old Perry for murder, but weighed his decision on all factors.
Perry was sentenced to a total of 20 years behind bars.
