Another downer of a home sales report out of the Warren Group this morning.
Officials in Barnstable County say that home sales in the last reporting period were off a whopping 31 percent as compared to a year ago. But while sales were down- median prices skyrocketed again to 660 thousand dollars.
Cassie Norton, The Associate Publisher of The Warren Group report says, "Our data shows that MA September single-family home sales reached a 13-year low as limited inventory, rising interest rates, and record-high prices continue to limit opportunities for prospective buyers."
Nantucket home sales were even worse as year over year sales were down by nearly 41 percent.
