They are getting closer to picking a successor to Police Chief William Pittman in Nantucket.
Officials have released the three finalists for the position. The three- in no order:
Richard Flynn: Current Captain of Police in Arlington, MA 2020 - present.
Jody Kasper: Current Chief of Police in Northampton, MA 2015 – present.
Mark Newport: Current Chief of Police in Portsmouth, NH 2021 – present.
Officials hope to be able to pick a successor to Pittman by the end of the month.
The Chief will retire next month.
