A Catholic priest from Cape Cod is in Israel with a small group that had been touring the country.
Reverend Edward Healey, pastor of Christ the King Parish in Mashpee, was scheduled to return later this week.
A notice on the parish website indicates Healey and the others are safe in the Dead Sea area, and they had plans to leave for Jerusalem.
The message said the group has not seen any of the violence happening elsewhere in Israel.
