Falmouth Hospital is benefiting from a five-million-dollar donation.
According to Cape Cod Healthcare, the donation will be used to construct a new surgical suite, which will increase the number of operating rooms from five to seven.
The suite will be named for the donors, L. Ronald and Markay Capozzoli. Mr. Capozzoli's father bought property on Eel Pond near Menauhant Beach in 1948 which has served as the family home.
Officials say this is a "transformative" gift for the hospital.
