Boat owners on Cape Cod and Nantucket are making preparations for the possible impact of Hurricane Lee.
The Chatham harbormaster has sent notices to nearly three-thousand boat owners to find a safe place for their vessel.
The tall ship "Lynx", a War of 1812 replica, will be temporarily moved from Stage Harbor in Chatham to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution instead of going back to its Nantucket home port.
The National Weather Service in Boston says Hurricane Lee could make a close pass to the region later this week, which at a minimum is causing dangerous rip currents.'
