Gov Files Application For Cape Bridge Projects

Governor Healey is ready to move forward with a major reconstruction project for The Cape.

The Healey Administration is confirming that it has submitted a two-billion-dollar request with the lion’s share headed for bridge projects.

The Governor says the one point 45 billion dollars would allow for the immediate start of the Sagamore Bridge and the ability to lay the foundation for the Bourne Bridge after that.

The Governor stresses that the process is competitive and that the last time the application was moved was in the Baker Administration, which did not make it through the process.

There is no timetable as to when the fed will make a decision on the application.
