Obiri, Falmouth Ready For Sunday Roadrace

They are making the last of the preparations for the 51st annual Falmouth Road Race.

It is stepping off on Sunday. There is also a virtual race that you can do this week.

The race which will start at 9am Sunday is expected to raise some six million dollars to benefit various civic organizations.

The ASICS Falmouth Road Race will feature two high-profile world-class runners facing off against each other.

Hellen Obiri and Emily Sisson will both run their first races in Falmouth.

It will be the third time however they have competed against each other this year.

If the name Obiri's name sounds familiar, it should.

She won the Boston Marathon in April. Obiri says "the roads of Massachusetts have been good for me, so far this year."

She concedes though it won't be easy.

Obiri is a two-time world champion and two-time Olympic Silver medalist representing Kenya.
