Officials To Update Public On PFAS Mitigation At Airport

Cape Cod Gateway Airport is inviting the public to attend a meeting at Barnstable Town Hall tonight.

The 6 p.m. meeting will be hosted by the airport manager and environmental consultants who will talk about the progress that has been made on mitigating PFAS chemicals on and around the airport property.

A PFAS "plume" was identified from the airport going towards a filtration plant which provides water to parts of Hyannis including Cape Cod Hospital, commercial businesses and hotels.
