The town of Sandwich is being ordered to cease all work on the new Sandwich Boardwalk.
The Enterprise reports a Barnstable District Court judge is reviewing a complaint filed on behalf of Sandwich Historic District Committee member Lisa Hassler and her husband, which alleges the town is violating the Old King's Highway Regional Historic District Act.
Specifically, the suit points to an expired demolition permit and certificate of appropriateness.
A temporary restraining order was issued by the court earlier this week.
