There's no relief yet from wildfire smoke in Southern New England.
The National Weather Service in Boston says near-surface smoke may become dense again on Friday, especially in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
An Air Quality Alert is in effect for the Cape and Islands until midnight tonight.
The Alert for Rhode Island is expected to end at 1 this afternoon.
