Aging Cape Bridges To Get Big Boost From Governor

Governor Healey is pledging 700-million dollars from the state towards the replacement of the two aging bridges to Cape Cod.

It's estimated that the replacement of the Bourne and Sagamore bridges will cost at least four-billion-dollars.

Healey's commitment is double the 350-million dollars the state had previously pledged towards replacement of the bridges.

The bridges are owned and maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and are considered functionally obsolete.
