An election was held for a seat on the Chilmark Select Board on Wednesday.
The Vineyard Gazette reports Marie Larsen defeated Russell Maloney, both first-time candidates.
Larsen is replacing selectman Warren Doty, who decided not to run for re-election after 24 years on the board.
