A struggling swimmer was rescued on the Upper Cape on Saturday afternoon. WCVB-TV reports two good samaritans went about one hundred yards into the ocean off Menauhant Beach in Falmouth. More volunteers tried to resuscitate the man after he was brought to shore until the EMS arrived. The individual as taken to Falmouth Hospital before he was airlifted to a medical center in Rhode Island. The beach parking lot had signs that indicated no lifeguards were on duty.
