If you had plans for Hathaway's Pond this weekend, Change Them. Barnstable Town Manager Mark Ellis and Police Chief Matthew Sonnabend have announced that the pond will be shut down for the next two weekends due to "A series of recent public safety concerns", referencing Sunday's massive fight there. Hathaway's Pond will be closed from 5pm Friday night until 7:30am Monday Morning and from 5pm next Friday until 7:30am the following Tuesday morning June 21st.
