Oral rabies vaccination baits are going to be distributed by the thousands starting next week after the Cape’s first rabies case in eight years was detected last May.
USDA Wildlife Biologist Brian Bjorkland works with the rabies task force to distribute the baits.
The oily, fishmeal baits will be spread out from Kingston down to Middleboro and Marion and as far east as Brewster and Harwich starting on Monday.
