A member of the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates who is also on the Falmouth Select Board has resigned from the County position.
The Enterprise reports Select Board Chairman Douglas Brown gave up his delegate seat after the state ethics commission told him about a conflict he had.
The state said brown could not vote on the awarding of money from the American Rescue Plan act to Cape Cod towns.
Brown says it's not fair to the town of Falmouth for him to be sidelined like that.
The Select Board will be responsible for appointing a replacement.
