Harwich Voters Asked To Decide On Nuclear Waste Dumping

The town of Harwich is taking steps to prevent Holtec International from discharging radioactive water from the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station into Cape Cod Bay.

The citizen's group Cape Downwinders recently brought the issue to Select Board members, explaining that several towns have already voiced opposition to the proposed plans.

Harwich voters will now face a ballot question on the issue at the annual town election.  The last day to register for the election is April 12th.
